About Kris Krstovski
Kris Krstovski is the Founder and President of K2 Retail Group, a commercial contracting and Development business headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. As a third-generation construction manager, Krstovski brings over 30 years of commercial real estate (CRE) development and construction expertise to business owners across Michigan and beyond. A master finish carpenter by trade, Kris decided to leverage his retail construction skills and decades of field experience by opening his contracting service. Since the launch of K2 Retail, Krstovsi has been privileged to oversee retail renovation and construction projects from concept to erection to grand opening.
Kris’s success in retail construction has been a direct result of his ability to communicate effectively with land developers and trade contractors and develop strategic plans that hit construction milestones and stay within budget limits. His project field experience is unquestionable, having led dozens of large retail projects for industry giants like Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, BJ’s Wholesale Club, and more.
Krstovski’s understanding of the business side of construction is likely responsible for the company’s success. He is able to analyze a project’s design and consistently calculate construction costs to determine bottom-line estimates for potential clients. To Kris’s and his client’s benefit, he has spent years forging partnerships with local and national equipment and material suppliers, which lower overall project costs for stakeholders while also increasing profits for the builder.
With over 30 years in the construction business, Kris Krstovski has spearheaded the completion of over 200 retail builds worth over $1.2B in total project costs. His ability to hire the best tradespeople, laborers, and equipment operators has likely been instrumental in his completion of high-quality retail establishments. More importantly, Kris stays intimately involved in every aspect of the project, confidently managing his teams and outside contractors through delays caused by weather or material shortages. The foundation of his retail construction business and what he expects from everyone on his team is simple – to show up ready to work, to be prepared with the tools needed for that day, and to be ready to adjust when field conditions dictate.
